Chief Privacy Officer & Director of Open Government
The Office of Privacy and Open Government is part of the Office of the Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Secretary for Administration (CFO/ASA) and reports to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Administration. The Office of Privacy and Open Government is led by the Department's Chief Privacy Officer & Director of Open Government, who also serves as the Department's Senior Agency Official for Privacy (SAOP). The CFO/ASA’s authority is delegated to the Chief Privacy Officer and Director of Open Government through Department Organization Order 20-31, Chief Privacy Officer (CPO) and Director of Open Government.
Charles Cutshall serves as the Director of the Office of Privacy and Open Government. In this capacity, Charles has agency-wide responsibility and accountability for the Department’s privacy program, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), the Federal Advisory Committee Act, principles of transparency and open government, and management of the Department’s directives management program.
